491 attorneys and law firms across Colorado are listed here, concentrated in Denver, Colorado Springs, Boulder, Fort Collins and Longmont. The practice areas represented most often are criminal defence, personal injury, family law and divorce.

How the courts are organised

Colorado's trial courts are district courts, grouped into twenty-two judicial districts, with county courts handling smaller civil claims, misdemeanours and traffic. Denver has its own separate county court structure. Appeals go to the Colorado Court of Appeals and then the Colorado Supreme Court. Federal cases fall to the District of Colorado.

Points that shape Colorado cases

— Attorneys are licensed by the Colorado Supreme Court and listed in a public attorney registry with discipline history.
— The state applies modified comparative negligence with a 50 percent bar, and caps non-economic damages in several categories of claim.
— Marital property is divided equitably, and maintenance is calculated against statutory guidelines.
— Colorado's cannabis, construction defect and homeowners association rules are all state-specific enough that general advice from elsewhere tends not to transfer.
