Victoria M. Scozzaro, Esq. is a Labor and Employment Law attorney in Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Buffalo office, where she focuses her practice on federal sector labor and employment law.
Prior to joining Tully Rinckey, Victoria was an Associate Attorney at a Keene, New Hampshire law firm, where she represented clients throughout New England in suits and administrative proceedings (including government agencies and in court) arising out of employment disputes such as wrongful termination, discrimination claims, harassment claims, retaliation, non-solicitation and non-competition clauses, wage and hour disputes, and other aspects of employment. She previously worked as a Law Clerk for a law firm in White River Junction, Vermont, where she gained trial experience in criminal courts, representing individuals in felony, misdemeanor, and DUI/ DWI cases. She also handled a range of criminal cases, attended pretrial conferences, assisted with discovery, jury selection, and witness interviews, in addition to performing legal research, analysis, composing pleadings, briefs, and other court documents involving legal issues in criminal litigation, and formulated recommendations to senior attorneys.
As a Bureau of Legal Affairs Intern for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, Victoria researched and wrote policy recommendations on issues involving Clean Water Act (CWA), Clean Air Act (CAA), and other federal and state laws. She also prepared for and advocated at administrative enforcement hearings at the Environmental Control Board (ECB) of the NYC Office of Administrative Trials & Hearings (OATH) on behalf of DEP and drafted appeals of administrative decisions. She also was a Legal Intern for Earthworks in Washington, D.C., where she performed legal research on federal and state environmental laws, wrote office memos, assisted drafting amicus briefs, attended Congressional hearings, and wrote editorials for the Earthworks website.
