John V. Tait concentrates his practice on civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury, product liability, construction/labor law liability, premises liability, and contractual claims. Mr. Tait has handled several cases involving industrial equipment, firearms and ammunition, and recreational equipment and accessories. Mr. Tait also has extensive litigation experience with lawsuits involving retail establishments, residential complexes, supermarkets, restaurants, and recreational facilities for claims involving construction accidents, premises liability, Dram Shop, and general negligence.
An experienced litigator, Mr. Tait has successfully taken a number of cases to verdict in both state and federal court. He has also successfully presented cases on behalf of national and international corporations before the American Arbitration Association, National Association of Security Dealers and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
Mr. Tait regularly litigates cases throughout the City of New York, as well as Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, and Dutchess Counties, and throughout New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as several federal courts.
Mr. Tait earned a B.B.A. in finance, cum laude, from Pace University. He then went on to earn his J.D. cum laude from Fordham University School of Law, and was awarded Order of the Coif honors.
