John R. Menz has represented corporate and individual clients in sophisticated legal matters concerning contract disputes, securities regulation, real property, product liability and employment law. He has litigated and arbitrated cases in a variety of forums, including federal courts, state courts, the American Arbitration Association, and the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Menz offers corporate and individual clients a fluent understanding of the terms, conditions and strategies involved in complex financial transactions gained from his long legal experience and skills obtained as a former tax accountant at Price Waterhouse.

Mr. Menz has successfully defended claims against financial institutions in courts and before arbitration panels. Mr. Menz represents senior level corporate executives in connection with the negotiation of their employment agreements. Mr. Menz joins David Koenigsberg in representing relators as part of the False Claims Act Practice Group.

Mr. Menz earned his Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude at the State University of New York at Albany in 1980, and received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1985, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar each year. Following his graduation from law school, Mr. Menz served as law clerk to the Hon. John M. Walker, Jr., then United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York. After his clerkship, Mr. Menz became associated with the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York, where he worked in both the litigation and corporate departments. Before entering law school, Mr. Menz was an accountant and tax specialist at PriceWaterhouse. Mr. Menz is admitted to all courts in the State of New York, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
