Mr. Hammerschmidt’s practice is limited to the defense of persons accused of crimes in state and federal courts, including white collar matters. Mr. Hammerschmidt served as a Deputy District Attorney for more than 12 years and also served as the lead legal advisor to a police department of more than 800 police officers. He is certified as a Criminal Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Hammerschmidt is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest rating given to an attorney and he is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
