Michael J. Freestone, a Partner in Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Washington, D.C. office, focuses his practice on business immigration law. With more than eight years of experience practicing immigration law, he advises individual and corporate clients on a variety of immigration-related issues. Michael has extensive experience working with employers of all sizes in a variety of industries, including medical research, software development, the steel industry, construction, aerospace, religious organizations, entrepreneurs, and individuals of exceptional ability.
Michael’s work includes all types of non?immigrant petitions, visa and consular issues, employment- and family-based immigrant petitions, adjustment of status applications, and naturalization. He specializes in strategic immigration planning with a focus on long-term strategies, as well as creating robust immigration law compliance programs. Michael has experience working closely with investors and entrepreneurs to help create a successful immigration solution for their needs. His educational background is in International Law, International Business, International Trade, Finance, and Foreign Direct Investment.
Michael began his legal career as an immigration paralegal in Washington, D.C. He completed internships at Baker & McKenzie and Freshfields Bruckhaus Derringer in London. Prior to joining Palma Yanni, P.C. he worked as an Associate at Dickstein Shapiro, LLP, in Washington D.C. He has also consulted as a writer and researcher for the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.
