Throughout her career, Mary has focused on giving her clients a hand up. Most recently Mary has endeavored to advocate for immigrants, domestic violence victims, and families through private practice in Colorado Springs.
Before going into private practice, Mary represented migrant farmworkers in immigration and wage issues as part of the Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc. Fort Myers, Florida offce during 2012 and 2013. She then moved to the Lakeland office of Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc. to recruit other attorneys to represent low-income families at no cost in divorce and custody matters and represent clients herself in collection, eviction, guardianship, and will-drafting from 2013 to 2016. Mary was an associate attorney doing family law and immigration at the Izaguirre Law Firm in Colorado Springs during 2017 before opening up her own practice. Mary has personally advised and/or litigated hundreds of cases throughout her career and uses her experience to run Daugherty Law LLC with a mission of making immigration and family law justice accessible and affordable.
When not advocating for her clients, Mary enjoys hiking, running, cross fitting, playing with her son and husband, watching Marvel movies, and experimenting in the kitchen. She is currently training with a goal of qualifying for the Boston Marathon.
