I was born in raised near Peoria, Illinois. After obtaining my degree from the University of Illinois I attend Southern Illinois University to obtain my Juris Doctorate Degree. While in law school I helped manage a Self Help Legal Center allowing the public to use forms to represent themselves. I worked with the school to become the first law school in Illinois to require a pro bono commitment from each student during his/her time at the school.

I was able to acquire a license to practice law as a senior law student which allowed me to work in the Williamson County State’s Attorneys’ Office for a semester. I also used this license to practice at the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s office in the summer of 2013 where I handled Traffic and Misdemeanor cases. I was fortunate to have my first jury trial and a number of bench trials in my time at the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s office.

I am currently handling medical device litigation, creditors rights cases, employment law cases, and coordinated litigation involving Syngenta corn seed.
