Charles “Chase” R. Mathis IV has honed his skills as an attorney since joining the legal world in 2007, and has developed a well-rounded knowledge of the law throughout his career working at several national and local law firms in multiple positions. Since 2018, Chase has concentrated his practice to assisting injured individuals in obtaining the justice and compensation they deserve. He joined Maggs McDermott & DiCicco, LLC in 2021 and continues focus his practice in the field of personal injury.
He earned his J.D. in 2013 from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware where he obtained a specialized legal certificate from the Taishoff Advocacy, Technology and Public Service Institute in Trial Advocacy, was on the Dean’s List and provided Pro Bono services to Veterans. In 2006, he graduated with a B.A., cum laude, from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is admitted to the bars of New Jersey and Pennsylvania as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
In 2019 and 2020, Chase was selected to the New Jersey Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers. Only 2.5% of the attorneys in New Jersey receive this distinction. When not pouring over legal texts or arguing for his clients’ rights in the courtroom, Chase enjoys spending his time with his wife, daughters, and the family’s dog.
