Since 2008, Barb Cashman has been a solo practicing in Denver, focusing on estate and elder law and mediation. Barb is a past chair of the Solo/Small Firm Section of the Colorado Bar Association and is active in the Trusts & Estates and Elder Law sections of the CBA. She received her J.D. from the University of Denver Law School in 1987, where she was editor-in-chief of the Denver Journal of International Law & Policy. She also holds an M.A. from the Graduate School of International Studies at DU. An experienced mediator, Barb received a Certificate in ADR from DU’s University College in 2000. Barb is a member of the Arapahoe County, Colorado and American Bar Associations. For many years she was a weekly blogger on her www.DenverElderLaw.org website, and founded and contributed to the CBA’s award-winning blog www.SOLOinCOLO.com. She has also periodically contributed to http://cbaclelegalconnection.com . Barb received a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® rating by her peers in 2012 and has been designated a SuperLawyer for 2019 through 2021. She is a frequent presenter at continuing legal education programs as well as community programs on elder law topics.
